Sunday School

Adult Sunday School Classes:

We offer a variety of classes with different styles (discussion, lecture, book study etc.) and demographics (young couples, seniors, intergenerational). Some classes are short-term, others are ongoing. During the summer we invite all adults to attend special programs usually presented by a guest speaker. See a current schedule of classes.

Youth Sunday School Classes:

High School Youth: (Gaily Hall)

Ninth through twelfth graders will discuss issues of the day and how they relate to each of us. Grow in your faith and grow closer to your friends as we study and have fellowship together.

Middle School Youth: (Gym)

Sixth through eighth grades will meet together to study issues of faith and how they relate to each of us in our everyday lives. Grow in your faith and your friendships on Sunday mornings with us.

Children's Sunday School Classes:

Grades 4 and 5:

New this year will be a class just for this age group. This new class will help to serve as a "bridge" between Children's Sunday School and Youth Sunday School. A team of adults will rotate as teachers and will be using the We Believe curriculum for this age group. The fall quarter's study is Faith, with units on following God's unexpected plan and in unexpected ways. The 4th and 5th grade group will take part in all the outreach projects that the Bible Times group does.

Ages Pre-K through 3rd Grade:

Children learn the stories of our faith and about biblical life in our exciting Sunday school program called Bible Times. This hands-on curriculum is based on the workshop rotation model. At 9:45 am the children assemble in "Marketplace" (also known asthe Kirk Center on the lower level of the sanctuary bldg). After a time of gathering, they are dismissed by ages to go to their stations. Each week during a six-week period, children rotate to a different station to explore a Bible story from a different angle. An outreach project is also included in each rotation.

Preschool:

We nurture the body and spirit of these little ones with Bible stories, simple crafts, snack, and play time.

Nursery:

Our youngest children receive TLC in the nursery and toddler room.
