Friends Sharing
Faith Fellowship
|
The Friends Sharing Faith Fellowship Class: The “Friends” Class is a welcoming, engaging group who are about the privilege of growing in their faith and Christian discipleship. Have you ever wondered (or maybe worried) about what God expects of Christians? Maybe even, what's the least I can do and still stay on God's good side? Or maybe you have wondered about why bad things happen to good people or how Christianity should deal with evolution. Should we read the Bible literally and what about "left behind" theology? When we stop to think about it, there really are many questions that we wonder about both as individuals and corporately as a denomination. This fall the Friends Sharing Faith Class will struggle with these questions and others as we read and discuss Martin Thielen's book, What's the Least I Can Believe and Still Be a Christian: A Guide to What Matters Most. This book addresses key questions that needlessly divide many Christian denominations. We will begin the study by focusing on ten things Christians don't need to believe. The second part of the study shifts to focus on ten things Christians do need to believe. David Hill, a veteran Sunday School teacher for more than 25 years, will lead the study. Friends Sharing Faith meets in room 201 of the Activities Building.
Location: Activities Building, room 201
Study Leader: David Hill. |
